May Explodes With Craft Beer Celebrations!

The great month of May has arrived my friends! With it brings warm weather, Memorial Day (aka: the "official" start of summer)...and craft beer!!

Craft beer is about more than making delicious brews. It's about creating American jobs and providing a locally produced product for pubs around the brewer. This is something that has been done in Germany, England, Ireland and other parts of Europe for hundreds of years.

Brewing craft beer has been part of American history since before we were an independent nation, and has especially gained popularity in the last 40 years. There are currently almost 2,000 craft breweries throughout the nation, providing over 100,000 local jobs!

To celebrate the return of warm weather, and the beer drinking that it inspires, cities throughout the United States are celebrating! This month there are 18 separate "Craft Beer Weeks," including the nationwide American Craft Beer Week!

Here is a rundown on all the action:

May 1-5
Missoula Craft Beer Week gets started on May 1 at Missoula's famous Rhinoceros bar and continues to the grand finale, the 20th Anniversary Garden City BrewFest on Saturday, May 5. Missoula is home to four of Montana's 34 outstanding breweries, and a short drive to many more.

May 4-13
